Paragon Data Systems understands that in order for your company to maintain an edge over competitors, your bar code label printers and automatic data collection equipment must perform optimally. Problems with your printers and data collection equipment have a direct impact on your productivity, shipping, and information management.




At Paragon, we take service very seriously, so we created the Technical Services and Support Group. The Support Group provides technical expertise and a broad range of service options to meet your support and maintenance needs.

The Paragon Technical Services and Support Group provides technical support and repair services for the following equipment:

  • Laser Scanners
  • Fixed Data Terminals
  • Bar Code Printers
  • Mobile Data Terminals
  • Radio Frequency Equipment
  • Wedge Devices

You can always count on Paragon Data Systems Service to be there when you need us. Our technicians are factory trained on the leading brands of bar code printers and automatic data collection equipment, including Zebra, Telxon, Quadrel, Symbol, Monarch, Intermec, Datamax etc. Our technicians understand how data collection equipment integrates into your daily operations. It’s this type of knowledge that makes Paragon unique.


Paragon offers the following service options:
Phone Support
Technicians available to answer your questions and help you solve problems from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm EST on weekdays via our toll free support line. This service is free to our customers and only costs $25.00 per every 15 minutes for non-customers. VISA, Mastercard, or American Express required.


Time & Material Service Call
A technician is dispatched to your facility on an "as available" basis to diagnose and repair your automatic data collection equipment. You are billed for travel time, travel expenses, labor, and all required parts. Current Rates: $125/hour for labor - $50/hour for travel.


Depot Service Program
You send your malfunctioning equipment to one of our repair depots where it will be diagnosed, repaired, and thoroughly cleaned and checked. Standard turn around time is 3 working days from receipt. Depot locations are OH, NC, IN, TX and WA.

Two options: Yearly Service Contract or Time and Materials - All Depot pricing is quoted by product.


On-site Service Program
There is a national toll free number for support. If the problem is not solved by phone, Paragon dispatches a service technician to the client for field repair of the unit. The technician is to arrive no later than two business days from the time of the call.

Options: Yearly Service Contract only - All contracts are quoted by product. Contracts cover labor and all necessary replacement parts excluding print heads. Customer pays for travel.


Hot Spare Service Program
There is a national toll free number for support. If the problem is not solved by phone, Paragon ships a replacement unit for next-day delivery to the client. The client then ships the malfunctioning unit to Paragon for repair, where it is stored for the next service call.

Options: Yearly Service Contract only - All contracts are quoted by product. Contracts cover labor and all necessary replacement part excluding print heads. Customer pays for shipping to and from Paragon.


All service contracts require a blanket purchase order for Paragon media.
